Sea Water prawn breeding and hatchery is conducted on a 219.77 acre
land in Thebon Village, Palaw Township, Myeik District, Taninthayi
Division, (30) ponds have been dug at the rate of 2 acres per pond. We
have an objective to dig (50) ponds breed prawns by the end year
2007. We have provided to spend K.3500/- lakhs for prawn breeding. The
total staff to be employed will be (12) administrative officials, (47)
employees totalling (54) in all. The total catch of Prawn produced by the existing ponds are as follows.

At the hatchery we produce and sell fingerlings
